There aren’t many places more charming and beautiful for engagement photos than Princeton NJ, which is why I was so excited when Olivia & Michael chose it for their engagement session! The historic buildings on the university campus are a stunning setting in any season, and the town of Princeton is quaint and a little quirky at the same time. You really can’t go wrong with all that variety!
Everyone wants beautiful weather for their engagement session, but mother nature doesn’t always cooperate. Thankfully the cobblestone and slate paths in Princeton photograph beautifully with a little rain and a little flash photography! And I always come prepared with clear umbrellas just in case, which make great photo props too.
Thankfully the rain held off for most of Olivia & Michael’s session! Olivia chose a gorgeous plum knitted dress and nude heels, and Michael donned a layered look with a gray pullover, light purple button-up and tailored navy slacks which coordinated beautifully. Their wardrobe was perfect for the crisp fall afternoon.
We started out at Nassau Hall, a popular and grand building for photo sessions and visiting tourists alike, featuring the Princeton Tigers out front. After that, we strolled to the ivy covered Edwards Hall then over to the ever popular Holder Hall, famous for its gothic arched architecture.
After strolling around campus we decided to explore and get some photos around town, and take advantage of the beautiful fall foliage. We ended our session under the twinkle lights in Palmer Square.
Olivia and Michael chose to design a beautiful wall collage featuring their engagement session images, which they now have displayed in their home. I’m excited to photograph their wedding this December at Renault Winery & Resort! Click to see another Renault Winery & Resort Wedding!
