Congratulations, you’re engaged!! One of the first things to plan is your wedding venue. Your venue sets the stage and vibe for almost everything on your big day, and it will be where you spend most of your time so the service needs to be impeccable.
If you’ve landed here, chances are that you and your fiance aren’t looking for a traditional hotel ballroom or country club to host your big day. You’re searching South Jersey unique wedding venues for an amazing backdrop for your vows! A venue that reflects who you are as a couple, and that your guests will rave about for years!
I’ve photographed over 150 weddings at venues in South Jersey and around Philadelphia. I’ve personally experienced amazing unique wedding venues with phenomenal staff that cater to your every need. And unfortunately, I’ve also seen less than wonderful venue which you won’t see listed here.
So without further ado, here are my 5 favorite South Jersey unique wedding venues, along with the things that couples love about them!
I photograph over 5 weddings each year at The Estate at Eagle Lake and love it for its rustic beauty and charm. Perhaps the biggest draw for couples is that you have private use of the grounds all day, which include several garden areas, an outdoor swing and a private beach and dock.
The venue owners and staff take meticulous care of the grounds, which boast multiple stunning photo locations from spring through fall.

Collingswood Grand Ballroom is a hidden gem that couples love for its historic, opulent 1920s vibe. The hallways are paneled in rich cherry, and the venue features several stunning staircases including a grand staircase leading into the ballroom itself.
The venue hosts one wedding per day, so couples can enjoy the full property including the bright, marble-appointed bridal suite and separate groom’s suite complete with pool table. There are multiple beautiful spots for photography, and ceremonies can be held outside or indoors in the grand ballroom.

If you’re looking for classic & elegant but want to skip the hotel ballroom, this South Jersey unique wedding venue should be at the top of your list! The venue features several beautiful reception spaces with different styles, and the gardens and vineyard are beautiful for photos.
Another benefit that couples love is on-site accommodation available at Renault Resort, along with options to host your afterparty on-site.

The Community House at Moorestown should be at the top of your venue list if you’re looking for a unique storybook setting! Nestled in the heart of downtown Moorestown, this quaint, historic building has a warm and charming feel. The building itself is beautiful and features a gorgeous library which many use as an indoor ceremony space. And its high wood-beam ceilinged ballroom can’t be beat!
The other unique benefit of this venue is it’s location right in downtown Moorestown, which is perfect for portraits! And accommodations for you and your guests are just minutes away.

“When you know, you know!” That’s how one of my couples described feeling when they walked into Stone House at Stirling Ridge and being sure that it was the perfect venue for their wedding. Technically this one’s in Central Jersey, but it’s so unique I just had to include it. This venue features beautiful Frank Lloyd Wright inspired architecture, nestled in the Watchung Mountains.
The staff at Stone House are extremely attentive and the food is top notch. The beautiful, natural outdoor space along with the building’s interior also feature plenty of natural and man-made photo spots. If you’re looking to wow your guests, this unique venue is definitely one to check out!
