Liss and Don are adventurous, warm, and rooted in the things that really matter – family, friends and each other. And getting to document their Inn at Lambertville Station wedding this past March was honestly such a gift.
Liss and Don met online — Plenty of Fish, to be exact — and for their very first date, they chose Lambertville Station. So the fact that they came full circle and celebrated their wedding at The Inn at Lambertville Station? It was perfect!
And the proposal? Don took Liss all the way to Scotland — The Isle of Skye — and got down on one knee at the Fairy Pools. What a perfect proposal for a couple who loves to travel and adventure. But Liss & Don also love exploring at home… enjoying good wine, trying new restaurants, hiking and spending quiet evenings on their back porch. Don is a passionate fisherman; Liss is a passionate reader. They are, in the best possible way, perfectly themselves — and perfectly matched.
Liss got ready at her and Don’s historic home in Bordentown, NJ — a home that means the world to them — surrounded by her family and closest friends. I loved every minute of that morning. The energy in that house was just so warm and alive. There were curious little ones darting around, laughter in every room, and that special kind of electricity that only exists when a bride is getting ready surrounded by the people she loves most. It felt like home — because it was.
Meanwhile, Don was getting ready over at The Inn at Lambertville Station with his best man Craig, and his beautiful mom. Different vibe, equally great energy!

The ceremony took place at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Bordentown — Liss and Don’s hometown. There’s something so meaningful about getting married in the church of your community, and you could feel that significance in the room. It was a beautiful, heartfelt ceremony.

One of the things Liss and Don mentioned early on was how much they were looking forward to portraits overlooking the lights of New Hope. There’s something so magical about that view at night — the Delaware River reflecting the glow of the Pennsylvania side, the two of them wrapped up together after a full day of celebrating.
But before the couple traveled to Lambertville, they wanted to swing by their home for portraits together. I LOVED documenting the couple and their wedding party on their front porch, and creating portraits at their home, which they’ll cherish for a lifetime!

Nestled right along the Delaware River, The Inn at Lambertville Station is one of those venues that just photographs beautifully in every season. The historic stone building, the warmth of the interior, the twinkling lights of New Hope, PA glowing across the water — it’s romantic in a way that’s completely effortless. In March, there’s a cozy, intimate feel to the space that I absolutely love. It’s the kind of place where guests settle in, the night slows down, and everyone is just present. And for a couple like Liss and Don, who truly value their time with the people they love, it was the perfect backdrop.

Liss is proud of her Irish heritage, and the couple wove it beautifully throughout the day with emerald green accents in the details. It gave everything this rich, elegant, deeply personal feel — and photographed so well against the warmth of the venue. March could have felt wintry and gray, but instead the whole day felt lush and intentional. Those little touches of green were everywhere, and they were stunning.

The reception was everything Liss and Don hoped it would be — a night spent with the people they love most in one of the most beautiful settings in the Delaware Valley. The energy was celebratory and genuine, full of big laughs and real moments. These two have built such a beautiful life together — the travel, the adventures, the cozy nights at home — and watching their community come together to celebrate them was just the best.

Liss and Don, thank you for trusting me with your story. From that first date in Lambertville to saying “I do” and dancing the night away overlooking those New Hope lights — it was a day I won’t forget. Wishing you both all of the best hiking trails, great restaurants, good books, great catches and epic trips your hearts can handle. 🥂
