Audrey and Dan’s wedding was a beautiful testament not only to each other, but also to their family. Their three children played significant roles in the celebration, adding an extra layer of love and warmth to the day. Their 15-year-old daughter, “C.” graced the occasion as a radiant bridesmaid, while their 6-year-old daughter, “R.” beamed as a flowergirl. And who could forget their 2-year-old son, “T.” stealing hearts as one of the cutest ring bearers I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing.

Tent Wedding in South New Jersey | First Look Shenanigans

About a week before their wedding, Audrey reached out to me about something that was on her mind. She shared that Dan was a bit nervous about their first look, which prompted her to hatch a clever plan with Dan’s best man, Tom.

In order to ease Dan’s nerves that day, Tom – who was a fantastic sport – donned a fake wedding dress to surprise Dan. I loved being part of this little secret and documenting it all! From capturing the bridesmaids helping Tom into his dress, to setting Dan up and seriously asking him to turn around to see his “bride”.

And the best part? Judging from Dan’s heartfelt reaction when he turned to see Audrey, his real bride, I would call the mission a complete success!

Nestled in the heart of South Jersey, The Estate at Eagle Lake is a true gem, boasting enchanting gardens that come to life in the summer months. Lush greenery, vibrant blooms, and serene waters create an idyllic setting that perfectly complements the celebration of love.

Audrey and Dan were extremely excited about taking portraits amidst the beauty of the grounds, and we certainly made great use of them that day as the couple had fun with their wedding party and family!

Audrey’s bouquet held a touch of enchantment, thanks to a vial of Felix Felicis – luck potion from the Harry Potter series, gifted to her by a dear friend. And it seems that luck was on their side thanks to that gift! A summer rainstorm momentarily threatened to move their wedding ceremony indoors! But as if on cue, the clouds parted and the sun shone through, allowing Audrey and Dan to exchange their vows lakeside.

From the exquisite sola wood flowers that adorned the bouquets and venue, exuding rustic charm, to the custom charcuterie board seating chart created by their daughter “C.”, every detail was a stunning. These handcrafted elements added a personal touch, creating an atmosphere that was intimate and welcoming.

As guests gathered under The Estate at Eagle Lake wedding tent, the couple enjoyed emotional first dances with each other and their parents and heartfelt speeches. Their love for each other and for their family and friends was palpable throughout the night.
