Christa & Tom chose late August for their rustic wedding in south New Jersey, which is a perfect time of year to say “I do”, especially outdoors! The weather that day was beautiful and warm, and the couple took full advantage of their surroundings at their wedding venue, The Estate at Eagle Lake!

The Estate at Eagle Lake, with its rustic charm and sprawling grounds, was the perfect choice for Christa and Tom’s wedding. Their love for the outdoors was beautifully reflected in their portraits against the backdrop of the venue’s serene lake and picturesque landscapes.

As a nod to early fall, Christa and Tom selected deep navys and coppers for their wedding details and bridal party attire, adding a touch of sophistication to their rustic day.

Christa and Tom’s story began with an introduction by their bosses, while Christa worked in a pet store and Tom worked at the power company where he works today. Their first date was a huge success – so much so that Tom recreated it for his proposal in February 2022!

It was important to Christa & Tom that their dog Tikka was included in their wedding day. One amazing part about having your wedding at The Estate at Eagle Lake is that it’s a pet friendly venue! So Tikka joined the couple and their wedding party for portraits, then played a critical role as a flower dog.

Christa & Tom’s beautiful lakeside ceremony was personal and heartfelt. One of my favorite moments was when they joined their officiant Father Anthony for a tequila shot to officially seal their union!

Then during the reception, Christa included a beautifully touching tribute to her late father, with special dances shared with several significant men in her life.

I loved documenting every moment of Christa & Tom’s wedding – from the fun & lighthearted ones to those that brought a tear to my eye.
